Below shows how I built my design in Revit.
Below shows how I experimented with how to build the design. I began by making it as a component but then I realised it would not be recognised as stairs. I then created two sets of stairs but then the railings would not fit together properly so in the end I decided to add components around the sides, with a wall at the back to insert the doors. Then I created a ramp that would overlay the stairs to create the railings and then when I was finished I hid the ramp.
I designed this at university as a response to the prompt "multifunctional beach hut". I decided that as well as having them be storage for watersports equipment, it can also be a stand for people to sit and watch the watersports going on in the water. I also figured if it was made out of concrete and sturdy enough that it could be used also as sea defense.
